Registration Information - You do not have to take the AAP NRP Provider Training in addition to taking this course - unless you need the AAP NRP Card/Provider Training for your license/education/work requirements.  AAP Provider training is hospital based and not developed within the midwifery model of care for the community setting.  Baby's Breath is a comprehensive neonatal care program for midwives/doctors/nurse practitioners/physician assistants/birth assistants/students/doulas working in the community setting.  It follows ILCOR guidelines, but is specific to the unique skills required for care provided in the home or birth center setting.  

Additional Registration Information - **Please review the Workshop Schedule closely before planning your training.Those that hold a current NRP card from a Baby's Breath workshop in that past 2 years, are confident in their individual skill level,  and are renewing their NRP Provider training may opt to take either the full workshop or just the afternoon session.  If you choose to attend the afternoon session only, please understand that there will not be any individual skill training or review in the afternoon.  Individual skill training is limited to the morning session so that adequate time is available for team drills and scenarios in the afternoon.

Audits - If you hold a current NRP card from a Baby's Breath training and would like to practice your skills (don't need renewal), you may register to audit the course at no cost.  Registration in the Audit category is required prior to workshop attendance.

REQUIREMENTS TO COMPLETE PRIOR TO THE WORKSHOP if you are pursuing AAP NRP Provider Training:

*Baby's Breath is a midwifery model neonatal care workshop for the community setting that also meets the requirements for Part 2 (the Instructor-Led Event) of the hospital based AAP NRP Provider Training.  You may take the workshop without obtaining the AAP NRP training or for both.  If you are taking the workshop to also obtain the AAP NRP training, please refer to: https://rqipartners.com/solutions/in-hospital-solutions/nrp/instructional-video-series/  for more information about the necessary steps to completing Part 1 of the training with the AAP (online) ~ as well as Step 2 (workshop) ~ in order to obtain your NRP card.  

PART 1 ADVANCED SHOULD BE COMPLETED PRIOR TO ATTENDING THE WORKSHOP.  AAP's fee of $45 for their online course content is in addition to the fees for the Instructor-Led event/Baby's Breath Workshop.

***CE/Contact Hours - 5 CA Board of RN Contact Hours (CAT 1 for NARM or CA Medical Board LM License Renewal) are provided from Michele Kazmier, CNM for the full Baby's Breath workshop (3 Contact Hours if attendance is limited to the afternoon session).  These CE are independent of those your license may accept from AAP NRP - should you choose to take their NRP Provider Course.
